40-year-old, Inspector Abdul Brahman said, "There were streams of blood on the road." He hit like ton of bricks by what was left of the motorcycle.
Madam Moliah Bte Ismail, 36-year-old housewife who was one of the passengers in one of the cars said, "All I heard was a big bang!" She was unsure what had caused the accident.
Said the Station Inspector Abdul Brahman: "Drivers are to drive carefully and not to talk on the handphone when driving. Bystanders/Eye-witnesses are urged to come forward with the information on the license plate of the vehicle(s) involved in the hit-and-run accident.

Chinese New Year/Hari Raya/Deepavali Celebration
Chinese New Year! Could not believe it came so fast, but still have school. Went to school, with a sleepy face. Upon reaching school, I went to the washroom and washed my face.
Listened to the teacher's announcements on the stage. Then we sang the National Anthem, and the School Song. After these, we went back to the classroom for a lesson of the "Total Defense Day." Then the siren rang! Our whole class was shocked. All were anticipating the next move. Someone spoke through the speaker, "Sorry, this was a mistake. Please stay in your class. Thank You."
Then, five minutes later, the siren rang again. Everyone did not bother about this anymore. Then Mrs. Manen spoke through the intercom, "School, there is something wrong with level 2, science lab. Please evacuate using the spiral staircase. Thank you."
We went to the school field, under the hot sun. I felt faint. Why on Earth should I deserve under the sun. Thinking, if a real fire happened? What would you do? Stay there or go to the field? Make your choice. Of course I would go to the field. I would rather be in the sun rather than burnt to death. So everyone, do not grumble when you meet this kind of happenings. Think of the positive side instead of negative.
We went around the school, pasting the stickers for the five defenses, "Social, Economic, Psychological, Military and Civil defenses." Each of the Defenses has a meaning to it, and is important for all Singaporeans to follow.
After that, we went to the hall and sat back for the Chinese New Year Performance. Had the some sort of street dance, Chinese dance and many other! It was so interesting and I could not blink my eyes while watching as I did not want to miss a part of the show. All good things will come to an end.
I went home and shared the stories with my parents.
Growth Day @ Sentosa Beach

We took a bus from the school and went to Fort Siloso Beach.
They gathered our class, Respect 2 and walked down a path-very long path-to the beach. After reaching our destination, my friends and I walked around there. We went round taking pictures and joking around. This is really the most memorable throughout my secondary life.
We saw our school volleyball team playing against other school. Even though they had lost the match, but they had done their best which did the school proud. I was surprised by out school enthusiasm towards this match. There were cheering loudly until their sounds went echoing to the sea.
The games stall was excellent I say. The games were displayed well and attracted our attention. We kept queuing and queuing, playing and playing the same game. My friends were a good player in golf. They scored every ball when they shoot. For a first timer.. I did not play so good. Out of five, I scored one. With perseverance, I think I would improve and show them what I have.
LUNCH TIME! We walked back from where we had started walking, for our lunch. The road was long. My friends carried the food and they are helping us. They provided us lunch. It is so good of them to do this. So I say "Thank you!", over here, though I never said to them, face-to-face.
After eating, we waited for at least an hour until we move off back to school. Now, my opinion of ITE is that, people who enter ITE still has hope in life. Do not give up! My primary school teacher once says that ITE stands for " It’s the End". I do not think it is true now. So good luck!
Personal Recount
"Ding! Ding", the bell rang.
It was history lesson now. The whole class went up to the history room and I started to talk to Wei Xiang.
"Eh bro, want to slack in the girls toilet?" I whispered.
He replied softly, "Okay sure. I go and ask Brian to join in also, wait."
So the three of us went inside the girl’s toilet, located near to the history room. We went in one of the cubicles and chatted with each other. Out of the blue, we heard footsteps at the entrance. We all kept our mouths shut, not letting a sound come out from our mouth. I peep my head out and my eyes fixed on the person boots.
I told Wei Xiang and Brian, "It is just the cleaner only, don't need to be scared."
She started to knock on the cubicle's door. And shouted, " Who is inside? Come out quickly!"
I choked out a girl voice but failed. In the end, we opened the door and received scolding from the cleaner. Her words were like a thunderbolt out of a clear blue sky. We stared at her dumbfounded. An eerie silence now permeated the toilet. Not wanting to get scolded anymore, we ran as far as our legs could carry us. A siren rang through the whole school. It was time for recess. We went to buy food and saw the cleaner, went about telling what had happened just now. One of her friends, confronted me when I was eating. She nagged and everyone beside me heard it. I felt naked and vulnerable. I went off and Weixiang and Brian followed. We decided to turn ourselves in. We talked to Madam Tay about everything that happened and she was counseling us. We shuffled our feets as we listened. We were grateful that she gave us a second chance and it doesn't come easily.
Now, I have learnt my lesson and know what is right and wrong. I will never do anything foolish again.
Personal Aspirations & Target Setting for 2010
I hope that I can aim high and strive for this year. It is because last year, my results were just at the borderlines. So now, having a chance again, would like to score good grades for this year. Then will my parents be proud of me. Amongst all of my results, my literature is the lousiest. I decided that I should spend more time studying on the subject even though I think it is a boring subject. I hope that my targets that I had set, would not go below 'C'. Well, I also cannot neglect the rest of my subjects too as they are equally important.

UNPLEASANT INCIDENTS HAPPENING IN THE LIBRARY
My friends and I have been going to the school library lately to do some self-study. However we were unhappy about a few incidents which took place in the library recently. I am writing to inform you about the incident and I hoped you will take action to improve the current situation by making it a more conducive place to study in.
There was a group of student who were very rude to the librarian. There talked loudly in the library and ignore the librarian when she asked them to lower their voice. One of the students even shouts at the librarian. The librarian was very angry and threatened to report him to the Discipline Master. However the student does not seemed to be threatened and he became more abusive. The student ignores the librarian and continues talking loudly in the library. I think that group of student should be punished for their rude and rowdy behaviors.
Some students broke the library's rule. They managed to sneak food and drink into the library. They even spilled drink on the table which attracts ants to come and it makes the table sticky. After they finished their foods they even left the rubbish behind which make the library dirty and because of their selfishness we cannot used the table to study as it was sticky. I hoped you will ensure that the pupils will observe the cleanliness in the library and be stricter to the library's rule.
There was a boy who wore his PE attire into the library. He was soaked in perspiration. This was extremely unhygienic and unhealthy for him as he may catch a cold. This may be unpleasant for the other people in the library as there may be an odor’s think he should change into his uniforms before coming in to the library. I hoped the librarian should enforce this rule so that there will be a conducive place for us to focus in our self-study.
There was a group of students playing games on the computers. They were using the computers for a very long time. This was very irresponsible as they did not think for the other who needs to use the computers. They also break the rule by using computer to played computer games. I hoped the librarian should be more strict on what they were using for the computers and control the time on the usage of computers for each person.
The library was used to be quiet and peaceful. It was very noisy nowadays and there was allot of problem. There were allot of students creating allot of problem for the librarian. The students also did not obey the rules and was creating a lot of noise. I hoped you will to something to it to make it a more peaceful and quiet environment.
Lastly I hoped you will take action against on the above incident that I had mention and I wished that there will be improvement seen in the library.
Yours sincerely,
Douglas Lim
SPORT FIESTA
Our school organized our annual sport fiesta from 5th to 9th April and all the student participated actively. I participated in the shot-put and got the second, the metal ball was very heavy and I almost strained my muscle but luckily I did not. The upper sec boys are very good at throwing the metal ball and they almost throw twice as far as me.
This year blue house did very badly in soccer and captain ball but there is improve this year as last year captain ball got last but this year we got fourth. But we did very well in badminton and volleyball as badminton we got second and for volleyball we got first.
For the track and field event it was organized at the serangoon stadium and all the student went to cheer for their house. In the track and field event I participated in the 4x100m and the 4x400m run. We did not run very well in the run as we got third for the both run.
In the 4x100m run I am the second runner and the entire runner is very fast but we tried our best. In the 4x400m run I am the third runner, our first runner run quite fast as he got third place and our second runner sustained the result. When it was my turn I ran very fast and I past all the runner but when I was running I suddenly strained my muscle and I gradually slow down. Two of the runner from the other house took the chance and run past me but I manage to sustain the result that my team mates got, in the end we manage to get third.
After running my thigh muscle hurt a lot but luckily after a rest it felt much better. This year blue house did badly then last year in the overall as we got fourth this year and last year we got second but we will not give up we will get better next year.
CROSS COUNTRY
Our school had organized a cross country run on the 26th march at Mac Ritchie reservoir. I was one of the competitors and I had to run for my class. The boys had to run 4.8km and the girls only need to run 3.2km.When the race start the upper sec girls ran first followed by the lower sec girls, the lower sec boys and the upper sec boys.
This year the race is more difficult than the last year as the path in marc Ritchie reservoir is wet, slippery, muddy, and uneven and there is a lot of up slope which required a lot of energy to run.
When the race start a lot of boys started running very fast but after some time they gradually slow down and I took the chance to run past them. When I was running I felt very tired and I am panting very hard. But when I was reaching the finish line I used all my energy and dash toward the finish line and in the end I got better result than last year.
In the end our class got third in the boys lower sec and from this event I learn not to give up and achieved excellent in everything we do

MABULA GROUND HORNBILL CONVERSATION PROJECT
This Project has been actively managing the decline of Southern Ground Hornbill (Bucorvus leadbeateri) in the Savannah biome of South Africa since 1999.
The National Zoological Gardens are carrying out a genetic study to determine if the Southern Ground Hornbills of South Africa are part of a population that stretches far into Africa, or if ground hornbills in different areas are subspecies. This is extremely important for releases of captive birds that originate from different parts of Africa.
Their motive was to get DNA(s) samples from Southern Ground Hornbill at the top of their range in order to compare with Kruger DNA so that the National Zoological Gardens Research Department can ascertain whether there is a sub-species.
Ann Turner, Co-ordinator of the Mabula Project, organized Nick Theron, the Mabula Project Researcher, into a position where he could capture groups of birds in the Maasai Mara. Kenya Wildlife Services provided permits and staff and backed the Project to the hilt.

PHILIPPINE HORNBILLS CONSERVATION PROGRAMME
A small country, Philippines, they supported the astonishing of the diversity of hornbills. Having 9species and 10subspecies are recognised. They belong to one, existing in a place since prehistory. With particular forms occurring only on particular islands or groups of islands that were formerly connected by land bridges.
However, the extent of destruction of forests, with fierce hunting of these birds for food(hornbills are still regarded as a delicacy in some places, best eaten as finger-food or 'pulutan' during beer drinking parties). In fact, hornbills were threatened than any other country in the world, but the most regretful is that the first known hornbill extinction, namely the Ticao tarictic (P. p. ticaensis) which was known only from Ticao Island, off Masbate.
A new tripartite 'Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)', formally signifying the establishment of a 'Philippines Hornbills Conservation Programme (PHCP)', has just been signed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR, Govt. of the Philippines), Vogelpark Avifauna (VA, Netherlands) and the North of England Zoological Society (Chester Zoo, U. K).
What they do to protect hornbills?
-Field status surveys -Habitat protection and restoration
-Development of properly structured conservation breeding and research programmes
-Production and distribution of public awareness/education materials -Organisation of local biodiversity conservation workshops and teacher's training programmes -Personnel training

After these, we went back to the classroom for a lesson of the "Total Defence Day." Then the siren rang! Our whole class were shocked. All were antipating the next move. Someone spoke through the speaker, "Sorry, this was a mistake. Please stay in your class. Thank You."
Then, five minutes later, the siren rang again. Everyone did not bother about this anymore. Then Mrs Manon spoke through the intercom, "School, there is something wrong with level 2, science lab. Please evacuate using the spiral staircase. Thank you."
We went to the school field, under the hot sun. I felt faint. Why on Earth should i deserved under the sun. Thinking, if a real fire happened? What would you do? Stay there or go to the field? Make your choice. Of course I would go to the field. I would rather be in the sun rather than burnt to death. So everyone, do not grumble when you meet this kind of happenings. Think of the positive side instead of negative.
We went around the school, pasting the stickers for the five defences, "Social, Economic, Psychological, Military and Civil defences." Each of the defence has a meaning to it. And is important for all singaporeans to follow.

Well.. I woke up early in the morning and packed my bag. I had no time for breakfast. What a pity.. I did not have time for breakfast. I went to school with an empty stomach. We took a bus from the school and went to Fort Siloso Beach.
They gathered our class, Respect 2 and walked down a path-very long path-to the beach. After reaching our destination , my friends and I walked around there. We went round taking pictures and joking around. This is really the most memorable throughout my secondary life.
We saw our school volleyball team playing against other school. Even though they had lost the match, but they had did their best which did the school proud. I was surprised by out school enthusiasm towards this match. There were cheering loudly until their sounds went echoing to the sea.
The games stall was excellent I say. The games were displayed well and attracted our attention. We kept queueing and queueing, playing and playing the same game. My friends were a good player in golf. They scored every ball when they shoot. For me.. A first timer.. I did not played so good. Out of five, i scored one. With perserverance, I think I would improve and show them what I have.
My primary school teacher once say that ITE stands for " Its The End". I do not think it is true now. So goodluck!

So the three of us went inside the girls toilet, located near to the history room. We went in one of the cubicles and chatted with each other. Out of the blue, we heard footsteps at the entrance. We all kept our mouths shut, not letting a sound come out from our mouth. I peeped my head out and my eyes fixed on the person boots.
I told Wei Xiang and Brian, "It is just the cleaner only, don't need to be scared."
She started to knock on the cubicle's door. And shouted, " Who is inside? Come out quickly!"
I choked out a girl voice but failed. In the end, we opened the door and received scoldings from the cleaner. We talked to Mdm Tay about everything that happened and she was counselling us. We shuffled our feets as we listened. We were grateful that she gave us a second chance and it doesn't come easily.
Now, i have learnt my lesson and know what is right and wrong. I will never do anything foolish again.
